Avril Lavigne a singer and songwriter both and would be actress. Her transition from skater-chick teen idol to grown-up songstress was accomplished seemingly overnight but she has doubled her fan-base since and earned respect for breaking from expectations. BIOGRAPHY:
Avril Lavigne was born in the tiny town of Napanee, Ontario, Canada on September 1984. Her French-Canadian parents John and Judy were devout Baptists and when Lavigne begen to sing along with her mother's church songs at the age of two, her parents soon noticed her their daughter,s natural vocal talents.
 At 16, she moved to Manhattan and began work no her debut album. She dropped out of high school after the 11th grade when she secure a record deal. When Avril was almost 18, she released "complicated" from her debut album titled: "Let Go" which went 6x platinum. As a petite skater girl from a small town, Avril has has shown she is independent, full of confidence and determination, providing a good combination to make "complicated" and Avril a musical breakthrough. "complicated" went to number # 1 on Billboards Top 100 while also earning 5 Grammy nominations MTV music awards, MTV European music award and many more.

Lavigne has been wildly successful as an entrepreneur with Abbey Dawn, a youthful collection of apparel and accessories inspired by her life,music and worldwide travels, as will as three fragrances, Black Star, Forbidden Rose, and Wild Rose. Over the years, she has designed specialty pieces and designated the net proceeds to The Avril Lavigne Foundation,which works in partnership with such organizations as Easter Seals, Erase MS and Make-A-Wish.To date, her foundation has raised more than half million dollars to provide support to children and youth living with serious illnesses or disabilities through awareness-raising initiatives and grants.Such qualities also make her a great human being and a true heart winner, and her success  story in field of singing is continue with greater achievements.
