Portgas D. Ace

Portgas D. Ace, born as Gol D. Ace, also known as 'Fire Fist Ace', was a Pirate and the 2nd Division Commander of the Whitebeard Pirates. And was one-time captain of the Spade Pirates.

He was the son of the late 'Pirate King' Gol D. Roger, and his lover, Portgas D. Rogue and the adopted older brother of Monkey D. Luffy and 'Revolutionary' Sabo. He was adopted by Monkey D. Garp as wished by Roger to him before his birth.

Ace was the eater of the Mera Mera no Mi, which is now eaten by his foster brother 'Sabo' and was a renowned pirate with a bounty of 550,000,000.

Ace was hunted by the World Government for his lineage, Ace ultimately met his end two years before the current storyline after being captured and sentenced to death, which resulted in an all out clash of powers, known as the 'Battle of Marineford'. Though Ace was freed, he sacrificed his life to protect his younger brother from 'Akainu', who was a Marin Admiral at the time and is the current Fleet Admiral.
